Candy Advisory & Editorial Note
Sugar Whirl Atelier is an editorial craft journal. We document flavor imagination, sugar technique, and seasonal culture — not medical, nutritional, or allergy guidance.
Allergens & ingredients
Our studio stories mention fruits, nuts, dairy, honey, gluten, and botanical herbs that are common allergens. Our illustrations are conceptual; they are not ingredient labels. If you visit us in Portland or try any candy elsewhere, always read the current physical label and ask studio staff about cross-contact in a small shared kitchen.
Safe enjoyment
- Hard candies and lollipops can be a choking hazard — supervise young children, and avoid running or lying down while enjoying.
- Enjoy in moderation as part of a varied diet. We celebrate flavor, not frequency.
- Store candies cool and dry, away from direct sun, and keep them sealed once opened. Sugar is hygroscopic and will soften in humidity.
No health claims
We make no claims that our candies treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Descriptions like “herbal lift” or “cool finish” are tasting metaphors, not health effects. If you have specific dietary or medical needs, consult a qualified professional.
Editorial integrity
All flavor notes are based on our own tastings and community workshops. We accept no paid placements for the flavors featured; seasonal drops are chosen by harvest and curiosity. If we ever partner on a story, we will label it clearly.
When in doubt, ask
